जैसलमेर में नए जुरासिक हाइबोडोंट शार्क प्रजाति की खोज: भारत की जीवाश्म विरासत के लिए नए आयाम
2024 में भूवैज्ञानिक सर्वेक्षण भारत (GSI) ने राजस्थान के जैसलमेर क्षेत्र से जुरासिक काल के हाइबोडोंट शार्क के दांत खोजे हैं, जो 160-168 मिलियन वर्ष पुराने हैं। यह खोज भारत के जीवाश्म रिकॉर्ड को बढ़ाती है और AMASR अधिनियम के तहत कड़े संरक्षण की आवश्यकता के साथ-साथ अनुसंधान, संरक्षण और भू-पर्यटन को जोड़ने वाली नीतियों को मजबूत करने की जरूरत को रेखांकित करती है।
