- Nationality: Indian
- Age Limit (as on 01-01-2024):
- General: Up to 38 years
- SC/STP/STH: Up to 43 years
- OBC/MOBC: Up to 41 years

- Ex-Servicemen (OBC): Up to 53 years
- Ex-Servicemen (SC/ST): Up to 55 years
Other Requirements:
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam
- Must speak Assamese or an associated tribal language
- Must hold a graduate degree from a UGC-recognized university
- Must be registered in the Assam Employment Exchange
- Must submit Form-A regarding small family norms
